A familiar face is back at Hero MotoCorp, and this time with even more experience under his belt. Aashish Midha has officially returned to the company as Head of Marketing, rejoining the brand where he previously spent over a decade shaping its digital and brand strategies. His comeback is being seen as a strategic move at a time when Hero is looking to strengthen its marketing muscle in a rapidly evolving mobility landscape.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Midha stepped into the new role in April 2025. This marks his second innings with the company, having earlier served in multiple leadership roles between 2007 and 2018. During that period, he was responsible for digital marketing, corporate branding, and commuter brand management. He also began his professional journey in operations at Hero Honda back in 2003.

In the years between his Hero stints, Midha gained substantial international experience. He was a key part of the Zalora Group, one of Southeast Asia’s leading fashion e-commerce platforms. He led Zalora Philippines and Indonesia as CEO and Managing Director from 2023 to 2025, and previously held positions like Revenue Director and CEO of Zalora Philippines. His time at Zalora exposed him to a dynamic digital-first consumer environment, giving him insights that could prove vital for Hero’s next phase of growth.

Midha also held a senior marketing leadership role at Myntra between 2018 and 2019, further adding to his diverse portfolio across tech-enabled consumer businesses. His career path has consistently reflected a blend of digital innovation, brand storytelling, and operational leadership.

His return to Hero MotoCorp could not be more timely. The brand is in the middle of repositioning itself in the electric mobility race and stepping up its efforts in digitally engaging younger consumers. Bringing back a seasoned leader who understands both the legacy and the new ambitions of Hero may be the edge the company needs. Midha’s expertise in digital transformation, coupled with his global exposure, positions him to craft sharper, future-ready brand narratives for India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer.

With the automotive sector undergoing a deep shift towards sustainability and connectivity, Midha’s re-entry could also signal Hero’s renewed focus on marketing innovation. Whether it is through smart campaigns, influencer strategy, or brand partnerships, all eyes will be on how Hero builds its next chapter under his creative leadership.
