Criticism of the Move
TV Mohandas Pai, former CFO of Infosys, has publicly questioned the decision on social media. He suggested that the funds could be better used to support local sports teams or social initiatives in Karnataka, emphasizing that Nandini is financed by the local taxpayers.
Official Response
In response to the criticism, MK Jagdish, managing director of KMF, defended the sponsorship. He highlighted that 85% of the federation’s revenue benefits local farmers, asserting that the international exposure could further enhance their operations and market reach.
