Timex Group has announced the appointment of Varun Malik as its new General Manager of Marketing, effective June 12, 2025. This move brings a seasoned marketing leader to the forefront of one of the most iconic names in the watch industry.

With more than sixteen years of experience across diverse sectors, Malik is known for his strong expertise in brand building, strategic marketing and storytelling. His career reflects a consistent focus on driving visibility, customer engagement and business growth through modern and impactful marketing strategies.

Prior to joining Timex, Malik served as the Marketing Head at Shalimar Paints, where he was instrumental in reshaping the brand’s identity and deepening its presence across Indian markets. His responsibilities included end to end brand strategy, go to market planning, digital marketing initiatives, influencer collaborations, loyalty programs, and consumer outreach campaigns. He also led product development journeys from ideation to market introduction, while incorporating social listening and analytics to drive strategic decisions.

During his tenure at Shalimar Paints, Malik successfully increased brand relevance in a competitive sector and played a key role in expanding market penetration through innovation and engagement. He was part of the company since June 2022.

His professional journey also includes leadership roles in reputed organizations such as HyFun Foods, Reebok India, Times of India, DLF India and Samsung Electronics, where he contributed across various marketing functions.
