India's government launches 'Chakshu', a service allowing internet users to report suspicious calls and messages. Accessible via the Sanchar Sathi portal, users can report fraudulent communications like KYC scams, impersonation, and more. Victims of cybercrime are urged to report incidents on the cybercrimehelpline or website.

To report on Chakshu, users provide details like the communication medium, attach screenshots, and mention the sender's number. The initiative aims to combat financial fraud and spam, complementing existing measures like the ASTR tool for mobile connection verification.

Additionally, TRAI recommends telecom providers to implement CNAP to display caller names, aiming to tackle spam and fraud calls. This move addresses reliance on unreliable third-party apps for caller identification.
