Challenges in the Animation Industry

The video continued to explain how many animation workers are now unemployed, despite their crucial role during the pandemic, when animation production continued uninterrupted due to its ability to operate remotely.

"Making it one of the only forms of entertainment that could continue production uninterrupted, but studios decided to pay them back by cancelling projects, outsourcing jobs, and laying off artists en masse," the video stated. "But why would they do that?! Why else? Greed! Big studios make their finances look better by reducing spending and cutting staff, with CEOs and executives reaping the monetary benefits for themselves."

The animated characters called for support, urging viewers to post about their favorite Cartoon Network shows using #RIPCartoonNetwork and to follow the account for more ways to help The Animation Guild (TAG).

Continued Support and Fond Memories

Despite the clarification, the hashtag continued to trend as fans shared their fond memories and expressed support for the animation industry. The conversation has brought attention to the ongoing issues faced by animators and the importance of supporting creative professionals in the industry.
