The Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) and The Advertising Club (TAC) have announced that Goafest and the ABBY Awards Powered by One Show will be hosted at the Powai Westin Hotel in Mumbai from May 29 to 31, 2024. This temporary relocation is influenced by the scheduling of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. Plans are to return the event to Goa in subsequent years.
Prasanth Kumar, President of AAAI and CEO of GroupM South Asia, expressed enthusiasm about the venue shift, stating, "We are thrilled to host Goafest in Mumbai this year despite some logistical hurdles. This decision underlines our dedication to maintaining the festival as a key event for the advertising industry. Goafest remains a crucial gathering point for thought leaders to drive innovation and set new directions for the sector."
Kumar added, "We are devoted to enhancing attendee engagement, delivering thought-provoking sessions, and ensuring that every participant gains significant insights. Don't forget, that Goafest will be back in Goa in 2025! We invite everyone to join us for a memorable iteration of Mumbai Goafest 2024."
Rana Barua, President of The Advertising Club and Group CEO of Havas India for South East and North Asia, highlighted the importance of the ABBY Awards.
