Battery maker Eveready Industries India has introduced a new premium range aimed at users who rely on modern gadgets that consume high levels of power. Positioned for tech heavy and high drain devices, the Eveready Ultima Lithium batteries promise up to 15 times longer life than regular alkaline cells and a shelf life of up to 15 years, placing the launch firmly in the performance segment of the battery market.
The new range spans AA and AAA formats and is designed for devices such as drone remotes, gaming controllers, security systems, virtual reality headsets and power hungry toys. These categories demand consistent output and stable voltage over long periods, something the company says the new chemistry and construction are built to deliver.
Eveready is also highlighting the batteries as suitable partners for smart home gadgets and newer tech accessories that must work reliably without frequent replacement. By addressing a broad set of use cases, the range positions itself as a solution for households and professionals who use multiple connected devices every day.
The company states that the cells are built for long lasting performance and use safety technology that prevents leakage. According to Eveready, the batteries are one hundred percent leak proof and free from mercury, lead and cadmium, which makes them safer for devices as well as better aligned with environmental expectations. The range also stands out for its resilience to extreme temperatures, a feature often demanded by industrial users and outdoor enthusiasts.

With operating capability between minus 30 degrees and plus 60 degrees Celsius, the batteries are meant to function in conditions where many ordinary cells may fail. That includes cold mountain expeditions, hot desert locations, industrial areas and even defence related operations where reliable power is critical.
Anirban Banerjee, chief executive officer of Eveready Industries India, described the launch as a significant step in the company innovation journey. He said the brand is building on its leadership in carbon zinc and alkaline batteries to offer superior performance and reliability for a diverse range of high drain and performance heavy devices. The company positions the new range as a response to evolving consumer needs and as a reinforcement of its promise of dependable power whenever and wherever it is needed.
Eveready is using this launch to strengthen its presence in the premium battery segment and to align with India shift toward digital, connected living. The Ultima Lithium range will be sold in packs of two, with each cell priced at Rs 250. Distribution will focus on premium outlets along with leading ecommerce and quick commerce platforms, indicating a strategy that targets urban and tech aware consumers who are willing to pay more for longer life and reliability.
