Hardeep S Brar, one of the key figures in shaping Kia India's aggressive growth strategy, has stepped down from his position as Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing and Sales. His exit marks the end of a pivotal chapter in Kia India's journey, where the company solidified its place in the highly competitive Indian automobile sector. Brar had joined the company in March 2021 and served for over four years, bringing his vast experience and leadership to the brand’s marketing and retail operations.

The news was confirmed through a heartfelt LinkedIn post from Brar, where he reflected on his time at Kia India with deep appreciation. He thanked the entire Kia team, dealer partners, vendors, and especially the brand’s customers for their unwavering trust and belief. His message highlighted the collaborative spirit that defined his tenure and the brand loyalty Kia has built over the last few years.

Brar’s contributions to the brand go beyond marketing campaigns. During his time at Kia, the company witnessed significant milestones, including multiple successful model launches, a deepening retail presence across India, and consistent top tier sales performances. His leadership helped Kia strengthen its position as one of the top automotive brands in the country, known for combining innovation with customer centricity.

Before his time at Kia, Brar held senior roles at several leading global automotive companies. He served as Director of Marketing and Sales at Great Wall Motors and was a key executive at Nissan India from 2017 to 2020. His earlier roles include Vice President at General Motors India and significant leadership positions at Volkswagen. However, one of the most defining phases of his career was his 17 year stint at Maruti Suzuki, where he worked across sales, marketing, and network development, laying the foundation for his deep understanding of the Indian auto market.

With over two decades of experience, Brar has established himself as a respected voice in the automotive sector, blending strategic insight with a ground level understanding of Indian consumer behavior. While his next professional move is yet to be announced, the industry will be watching closely. His exit from Kia comes at a time when the brand continues to innovate in the electric vehicle space and expand its market reach in India.

For Kia India, Brar’s departure opens a new chapter in leadership, but the foundations laid under his tenure will continue to shape the company’s trajectory in the years to come.
