NDTV Auto has appointed Siddhartha Sharma as executive editor, signalling the platform’s next phase of evolution into a digital-first, future-ready automotive destination. With over 14 years in journalism, technology, and branded storytelling, Sharma brings a rare blend of editorial depth and creative experimentation.
A veteran of ET Now, TV Today, and Network18, Sharma previously launched India’s first digital-first auto and tech show on CNN-News18. His tenure at The Quint introduced VR reviews and selfie-style interviews, while at Jagran New Media, he built branded content for global names like Apple, Hyundai, and BMW. A recent stint in Canada expanded his digital strategy expertise and cross-cultural perspective.
Rahul Kanwal, CEO and editor-in-chief, said: “Siddhartha brings not just credibility but curiosity. He looks at mobility through the lens of culture and innovation, not just horsepower. That mindset will define NDTV Auto’s next phase.”
Sharma echoed that sentiment: “NDTV has always stood for credible journalism. Today, mobility intersects with design, sustainability, and emotion — not just machines. This is an exciting time to tell those stories.”
Under his leadership, NDTV Auto aims to blend traditional credibility with immersive formats — from live digital showcases to interactive reviews. The editorial shift mirrors how audiences now consume automotive content: mobile-first, video-led, and story-driven.
