Vadilal has announced the appointment of Shiv Shivakumar as the new Chairman of its Board of Directors. This strategic leadership move is expected to enhance the company’s governance and guide its next phase of growth.
Shiv Shivakumar brings with him decades of experience from some of the world’s most respected organisations. He is currently an Operating Partner at Advent International, a global private equity firm. He also serves as Chairman at MTPL, an Advent company, and is a member of the advisory board of Power Grid Corporation of India.
Throughout his career, Shivakumar has held several high-impact roles. He was Group Executive President for Corporate Strategy and Business Development at Aditya Birla Group. Prior to that, he served as Chairman and CEO of PepsiCo India, where he led business operations across India and neighbouring countries including Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives.
At Nokia, he played a pivotal role as CEO for India and later as Senior Vice President for Emerging Markets, covering regions such as India, the Middle East, and Africa. He also served as CEO of the Consumer Electronics Division at Philips India and began his professional journey at Hindustan Ciba Geigy. His tenure at Hindustan Unilever Limited spanned nearly two decades, covering diverse roles in sales, marketing, and general management.
With Shiv Shivakumar stepping in as Chairman, Vadilal aims to leverage his strategic vision and leadership experience to further strengthen its position in the Indian and global markets.
