Nestle Maggi, known for 'Maggie noodles', the instant noodles snack, has set its sights on product expansion. And it is starting with venturing into the frozen food categories. It has recently launched three product variants namely, Veggie Kebabs, Achari Pockets, and Special Veggie Pops.
After the unprecedented success of its Korean Noodles. which were launched in November 2023, Maggi continues to innovate and cater to evolving consumer tastes.
It also held an exclusive tasting event. Nestlé India launched its Maggi 'Nutri-Licious' frozen food packets with a tasting event held at the FMCG giant's Indian head office. Zaheer Khan, Corporate Chef and Head of Innovation and Renovation at Nestlé India, took to LinkedIn to share insights into the making process of these tantalizing frozen treats.

With this latest introduction, Maggi enters the competitive arena of frozen snacks, challenging brands like McCain, ITC Master Chef, Gadre, and more. The move aligns with the surging demand for convenience foods, driving growth in the frozen food market.
Research and Market data project significant expansion, estimating the Indian frozen food market to reach Rs 367.97 crore by 2028, fueled by a CAGR of approximately 16.97% during 2023-2028.
With the growth trajectory of the category, it's about time we see the snack leader venture into frozen food options. Only time will tell, how the strategy will pan out.
