NDTV has appointed Koreel Lahiri as chief of strategy and innovation, adding a leader with more than 20 years of experience across content, investment, capital markets, and digital-led business growth. His background spans financial news, corporate strategy, venture investment, and advisory roles across next-generation digital platforms.
Lahiri has held strategic leadership roles at Bloomberg TV India and CNBC-TV18, where he worked across financial news coverage, editorial intelligence, and business planning. His exposure to market dynamics, industry cycles, and economic storytelling gives him a strong foundation for NDTV’s evolving editorial and business ambitions.
His tenure at The Times Group involved working on corporate strategy, investment analysis, market expansion, and business incubation. He later served as investment director – Asia at MDIF, managing media and digital investments across multiple markets, including creator platforms, edtech, civic tech, and SaaS enterprises.
At MDIF, Lahiri evaluated investment portfolios, supported fundraising, and drove scale across digital-first ventures. His work included deep exposure to Gen Z and Gen Alpha–led platforms, giving him insight into the future of content consumption, creator ecosystems, and hybrid media experiences.
Lahiri has also worked on M&A assessments, product strategy, and cross-border expansion initiatives. He has advised platforms such as InMobi (Glance) and YourStory, and contributed to programs at Google News Startups Lab and Columbia University.
