FCB Interface has brought in seasoned creative powerhouse Swati Balani as its new Executive Creative Director. With over a decade and a half of experience, Balani is no stranger to shaping impactful narratives that blend digital agility with mainline sharpness. In her new role, she will be steering integrated creative mandates that span platforms, categories, and consumer mindsets.
Swati’s appointment comes at a time when brands are searching for ideas that are not only memorable but deeply aligned with the cultural pulse of India. Her leadership is expected to sharpen FCB Interface’s creative voice across industries and push the agency toward even more cohesive, cross platform storytelling.
Balani’s journey has been anything but ordinary. Prior to this, she held the same title at BBH India where she led large scale creative executions between September 2023 and March 2025. Her role involved reimagining brand narratives through a digital first lens while ensuring traditional communication remained deeply rooted in strategy and culture.
Earlier in 2023, she served as Creative Head Digital at Sideways Consulting where she focused on platform native storytelling, a skill that is now in high demand among modern brands looking to balance visibility and virality. Her work during this stint spanned categories from FMCG to tech and explored the nuance of storytelling in a time of short attention spans.

Swati also spent close to eight years at AutumnGrey, now part of the Wunderman Thompson network. There, she grew into multiple leadership roles including Executive Creative Director and Creative Director Copy. Her campaigns during this phase covered some of the biggest names in the business including Microsoft, Exide Life, and Pepsico. Her ability to deliver insight driven narratives, infused with creative boldness, became her signature.
But her story did not start there. It began at Ogilvy in 2009, where she learned the ropes of copywriting and creative ideation. Over the years, she built her portfolio with contributions at DDB, Draft FCB Ulka, Mullen, and Apnapaisa. Each step added a new layer of expertise, turning her into a rare breed of creative professional equally comfortable in traditional campaigns and experimental digital formats.
Beyond the boardroom, Swati also wears the hat of an entrepreneur. In May 2021, she launched Beaten and Baked, a dessert brand that reflects her knack for detail, presentation, and a strong sense of what resonates with people. Her love for storytelling clearly extends beyond advertising.
At FCB Interface, Swati Balani steps into a role where expectations meet opportunity. With brands increasingly seeking authentic, high impact creative direction, her ability to fuse culture, strategy, and scale will be central to shaping the next phase of campaigns that speak to India’s diverse and evolving consumer landscape.
