Brand strategist Vineet Recriwal has launched The Native, a fresh marketing and communications advisory tailored for startups, founders, and fast-growing companies looking to scale effectively in India and Southeast Asia. Based in Gurgaon, the firm aims to offer lean, high-impact solutions rooted in sharp context, brand narrative building, and market insight  without the bulk of traditional agencies.

Recriwal’s pitch is clear. Fast-growth businesses need more than standard PR and communications services. They need context-sensitive guidance, clear messaging, and ecosystem understanding that aligns with their ambition. The Native is built on this philosophy, positioned as a strategic partner that speaks the language of founders and VCs while bringing executional clarity that can scale with the business.

Structured around a partner-led model, The Native will work closely with leadership teams and communication heads to solve challenges in brand positioning, stakeholder mapping, policy strategy, internal alignment, and thought leadership creation. The focus is not on delivering standard campaigns but on crafting reputation strategies that help businesses grow with credibility and clarity in increasingly crowded markets.

The firm’s name reflects its commitment to context   being a ‘native’ to the environment the brand wants to grow in. This thinking becomes especially relevant as Indian startups look to expand not just within the country but across Southeast Asia, a region with shared opportunities but very different cultural and market dynamics.

Recriwal brings over 15 years of cross-market experience to the table. He has previously advised over 75 companies, including global giants like Google, Meta, Uber, Grab, Harley-Davidson, IndiGo, and ExxonMobil. His career includes leadership roles at Burson India, Omnicom Singapore, and Jajabor Brand Consultancy, where he was the Chief Operating Officer. He started his journey at Weber Shandwick, one of the most respected global communications firms.

The Native is expected to scale quickly. It aims to double its client base and team strength within the next six months. A broader expansion across Southeast Asia is on the cards for 2026, with the firm already working on region-specific playbooks that account for regulatory, policy, and cultural nuances.

Recriwal’s core belief is that early-stage brands fail not because of poor execution but because they often misunderstand their market. According to him, clarity and conviction are more valuable than broad coverage. The Native is his attempt to bridge that gap, offering a focused, founder-first advisory model that cuts through noise and brings messaging that is timely, strategic, and outcome driven.

With an emphasis on building brands that can speak to investors, customers, regulators, and employees alike, The Native is not just another agency. It is a signal that the brand consulting ecosystem in India is ready for more agile, context-aware partners who understand what it takes to go from product to powerful story.
