Aval Awards 2025 returns with Aval Vikatan tribute to 17 iconic women

Aval Vikatan, the flagship womens magazine from the Vikatan Group, has announced the 8th edition of its signature celebration of womens achievement. Aval Awards 2025 will once again bring together iconic women from diverse fields on a single stage, continuing a tradition of recognising courage, creativity, and leadership.

Building on the success of previous editions, this year’s event promises an evening of powerful storytelling and recognition. A total of 17 women will be honoured, representing sectors that range from entertainment, literature, science, and agriculture to sports, social impact, education, and arts and culture.

Aval Awards 2025 will recognise excellence across 17 categories, including Aval Aalumai for lifetime achievement, Aval Icon, Kalai Naayaki for arts, Sevai Dhevadhai for social service, Kalvi Thaaragai for education, Saagasa Mangai for adventure, Little Champion, Viral Star, Rising Star, Best Mom, Pasumai Penn for environment and farming, Singa Penn for bravery, Powerful Performer, Evergreen Naayaki, Ilakiya Vallamai for literature, Vetripadai for group recognition, and Special Achievers.

These categories reflect the magazine’s long standing commitment to telling nuanced stories about women, from household anchors and community workers to nationally recognised performers and thinkers. The awards underline that impact can be measured in many ways, not only through public visibility.
