Ranveer Singh in his ‘Gully Boy’ avatar again, introducing his ‘Scalp wala Rap’
Head and Shoulders, the hair care brand has recently launched the #ScalpSwag online challenge whereby they're encouraging people to get rid of 100% dandruff and hair germs at home. The inspiration for the same has been the increased number of online searches in hair concerns and dandruff solutions as people stay home and wish to avoid any risk by visiting the regular hair stylist.
The campaign features a long list of stars such as Sara Ali Khan, Ranveer Singh, Aparshakti Khurana, Kriti Kharbanda, Jay Bhanushali, Bani J, Varun Sharma and many more participating in the #ScalpSwag challenge and saying hello to germ free and dandruff free hair by using Head and Shoulders shampoo. Bringing a twist in the challenge, Ranveer Singh turned up to his famous ‘Gully Boy’ avatar, introducing his original ‘Scalp wala rap’.
In his IGTV video, the actor shares his hair struggles during the lockdown, where his hair kept growing out and he couldn’t visit his trusted hair stylist which encouraged him to take the #ScalpSwag challenge and keep his hair dandruff free at home.
Binu Ninan, Senior Brand Director, Hair Care, P&G Indian Sub-Continent, said, "Head & Shoulders understands the dandruff-sufferer’s needs and habits. We have observed an increase in online searches for hair concerns, specially cutting hair at-home and dandruff. We wanted to reach out to the consumers and express that it is possible to be scalp-brave with an effective anti-dandruff solution. Head & Shoulders is thrilled to have Ranveer Singh on board.”
Apart from this, the brand also hosted a Scalp talk with Elton Fernandez, an in-house expert, hair and make-up artist. He talked about the hair and scalp issues that the consumers have been facing during the lockdown and also initiated the #ScalpSwag challenge, encouraging people to be scalp brave and take the challenge themselves at their home.
